WHAT DOES IT TAKES TO MAKE A STAR GRIP?
STAR Grips are made from a proprietary StarTack® rubber compound and is made up of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) rubber. Advantages of EPDM include: • More water-resistant than other rubber materials • Ability to withstand large temperature fluctuations.
The team at Star Grips carefully select non-toxic, eco-conscious materials and products whenever possible. That’s why the cleaning solution used in our manufacturing process has a GRAS FDA Safety Rating, so it is safe for you, our employees and the environment.
STAR Grips wouldn’t be Star Grips without the people behind the scenes! The team at Star Grips are not only professional, they are also very passionate about their product, their quality, their customers, and their success. They also believe in talking to a real person, not a robot, when you have a question.
In a nutshell, Star Grip grips are made in Chandler, Arizona using a proprietary manufacturing method called "Seamless True Round Molding". The grips are made from an industrial grade EPDM elastomer, and the company guarantees that the material won't crack, split, absorb moisture, or become hard or slick. Star Grip also pioneered a tapeless grip installation method that allows golfers to use their clubs immediately.
Made for Performance
Since our proprietary StarTack® rubber compound is proprietary to Star Grips, we made sure it was made for performance on the course. Our StarTack® rubber compound was formulated to provide maximum control and responsiveness with each stroke.
